Column Headings for Financial Summaries Spreadsheet Output

When you output a ‘full-mode’ financial summary to Excel/OpenOffice the system uses the balance item as the column heading. However, for special balance items 99, 100 and 101 the system uses a generic ‘User’ title as the column heading. New in Release 6.6 is the option to record a title to use for the column heading on spreadsheet output.

To set the title to be used you need to update the Financial Summary Definition. Select the Nominal Ledger option from your main menu followed by Financial Summaries and then press the <F7-Option> key to open the summary designer. Select the full-mode summary to update and then select the Parameters option from the main toolbar when the summary is displayed.

When you set/confirm balance item of 99/100/101 a pop-up is displayed asking for additional parameters and this pop-up includes the prompt ‘Col Heading for Excel’ which can be set as required.
