Selective Detail Screens on Detail Pick-Mode Order Entry

When using full-screen order detail entry configuration options allow up to five additional detail entry screens to be displayed subject to selection criteria. This new feature extends these options to the detail pick-mode style of order detail entry.

During order detail entry the screen displays as normal but when you confirm the last item then the system will determine whether any of the selective detail screens are to be displayed and then prompted accordingly.

If a selective screen is displayed then the screen is overlaid on the full-screen order detail display (as it would if used on full screen input) allowing you to continue to see information from the current order detail. Order entry continues as normal and once entry is complete, and no more selective screens are applicable, the order detail is saved and you move on to the next entry.

Installation

Application User Facilities

This feature requires order entry options to be configured for detail pick mode entry with the optional toggle to full screen. Parameters to enable these options are held within the Optional Features parameter screens. To update select Installation from the main menu followed by Application Manager and then Application User Facilities. Select the appropriate Order Processing application and then select Enter / Amend Orders followed by Advanced Input Facilities and then Optional Features.

Parameter Screen 1 contains the option ‘Use full screen design for order detail’ which must be switched off. Parameter Screen 2 contains the options ‘Maintain Details in Pick Display Format’, ‘Insert at Current Line’ and ‘If Pick Display, Toggle to Full Screen’ which would typically all be set on(though only the first of these is mandatory).

To enable the selective detail screen options and design the screens themselves you need to select the Maintain Order Details option from the Enter / Amend Orders menu. The initial screen displayed is the full screen order detail entry screen, this screen is used for full-screen order detail entry (and if use the <Page-Down> toggle key on stock code input during order entry) but is also used as a ‘base’ screen over which the selective order detail screens are displayed.

The order detail screen is configured over 20 order lines, the selective detail screens are configured over a maximum of 16 lines (you can control the number of lines available up to 16) and are aligned so that the selective screen overlays the bottom of the order detail screen. This means that the top section of the full screen order detail screen is displayed throughout the selective detail entry and can be used to display any information required when user is setting the ‘extra’ details.

On exit from the main detail screen a pop-up asks whether you wish to use any selective order detail screens.

Selective pop-up screens for Order Details – set to enable the use of selective order detail entry screens.

How Many (Max 5) – set, up to a maximum of 5, the number of selective screens required.

Show Selective Pop-ups of Fast/Detail Pick Mode – set to enable the use of the selective order detail entry screens on detail pick mode entry.

Once set you are prompted if you which to change the selective detail screens now – respond yes to configure these detail screens. NB: Please refer to the Order Processing help menu for the configuration options available on selective detail screens.
