Datafile Software Omit Separate Amend Screens The Order Processing applications allow you to define separate header screens for adding an order and amending/viewing the order. Where these screens are kept identical it can be laborious to configure one screen and then have to make the same amendments in a second screen. This option allows you to set a parameter so that the ‘add’ and ‘update’ actions share the same screen design. Installation Application User Facilities To configure the option select from the main menu Installation followed by Advanced Features Manager and Application User Facilities. Select the sales or purchase order processing application and then select Enter/Amend Orders followed by Amend/View Order Header. When the ‘Amend/View Order Header’ option is selected you
are asked if you wish to use the same screen(s) as for adding new orders. Set if you wish to use the same screens and
you will be returned to the menu, if you leave blank you can proceed to design
the amend screens. Notes If set this option then both the first and second ‘add’ screens (if configured) are displayed for the UPDATE, VIEW, DELETE and REPLICATE actions available on the main order entry menu plus the HEADER action available on the details menu. The selective add header screen will also be displayed on UPDATE, etc when the separate amend screen is omitted. |
