User and Installer Help Memos

ProFiler procedures can become quite complicated as requirements increase meaning the operator has to remember a complex set of procedures when running an option and the designer has to remember various configuration settings.

This new feature allows you to record both a user memo and an installer memo against a profiler option; in addition a user memo can be displayed as a stand-alone menu option. The user memo is displayed on selection of the menu option at run-time, and both the user and installer memos can be accessed from the definition.

When configuring the initial menu parameters for a ProFiler option buttons are now available for User Memo and Installer Memo – selecting these options loads the standard Datafile Memo editor allowing you to enter notes as required.

Once a memo is recorded a ‘*’ is shown on the memo button to indicate a user / installer memo has been created. At run-time if a user memo has been recorded it is displayed on selection of the profiler option before selecting OK continues with the menu option.

In addition to defining a memo against an action a help memo can be displayed as a stand-alone option using the H-Help Memo action for an option within the ProFiler menu structure
