Reset Discount% on Price Change

Where Order Entry operators can negotiate sales prices they may often be amending an order that was previously issued as a quote where the quote was entered with a price and a discount. When overtyping the price the previously entered discount is kept by default when often the operator will be entering the negotiated price the customer is to be charged, if they forget to zero the discount% the customer can end up getting undercharged. This new option allows the system to reset the discount% if the price is amended.

Installation

Application User Facilities

To enable the option to reset the discount percentage select Installation from the main menu followed by Application Manager and then Application User Facilities. Choose the required Order Processing application followed by Enter/Amend Orders, then Advanced Input Facilities and Optional Features. Parameter Screen 2 allows the reset option.

Reset Discount on Price Change – if set then if operator amends an order line and changes the price band or overtypes the price then any discount% will be reset to 0.Note – users can still re-key the discount if needed.
