Create New User - Copy Landing Pages

When creating new user logins for the Datafile system you can choose to copy the user setup from one user to another – whether that’s because they have the same/similar user role or they’re replacing another user.

When you create another user any data visualisation / landing page settings for that user revert to the default system settings. This new feature, when create user as copy of another, allows you to also copy their landing page settings.

You copy an existing user profile by pressing the <F7-Option> key on the user-id before entering their new id. If create from another user then on save you will be prompted to copy their landing page / enquiry files also.

When creating the landing pages the system users their user name as part of the definition file names. If they user changes their name or they pick up a spelling error then you previously needed to copy their definition files to their ‘new’ name. From this update the system will offer to rename the files on change of user name.
