Datafile Software Stock/Product File Extra Items - EDI Order Processing It is assumed that items 1 and 2 in the stock/product file hold your internal stock code and product description. If your stock codes are prefixed with a location code, then you should create an extra "=”-type item that extracts just the stock code, and change the EDI application that extracts the product information to use this item instead. The EDI application also needs to be changed to prefix product odes with a location code when transferring order information to the Datafile order processing system. The following additional items are needed: Item Name Type Size Description 159 WARN? ? 4 You can use this flag to mark a product so that you are warned when a customer orders this product — perhaps it is a line you are running down, or for which there is an alternative product you’d like them to buy instead. A warning message prints on the printed order that is produced as part of the EDI message deconstruction process, or if you reprint an EDI order. 160 EAN-CODE X 13 The EAN product code for this product.
