A2 Error Messages - EDI Order Processing

As part of the EDI message deconstruction process, a validation exercise is carried out on the data entered into the receiving database file. The following describes the messages you may find, their meaning, and what to do to correct the condition.

The problems are almost always within your own tables, such as a missing EAN location code or product code.Enter these codes (see under the System Maintenance options) and then re-run the validation process to check that the errors no longer occur. Note that data cannot usually be processed further into the Datafile Software applications until you have undertaken this re-validation exercise.
