Select Key Definition

Whenever you press <F4-Select> within the Bill of Materials system the details displayed can be configured as required this is done within the select key definition.

As you select this option the system displays each of the application databases used within Bill of Materials asking, in turn, you to select up to ten items from that database for display when you press <F4-Select>.

LIFO Sequence – set to list records in LIFO sequence leave blank for FIFO sequence.

Auto-Sort Column – as an alternative to displaying in record/prime-index sequence you can nominate one of the ten list items to sort the F4 search results in.

Auto-Sort Descending – if set to display in sorted column sequence set whether to processing in descending sequence (leave blank for ascending).

F4-Focus Item – when press <F4-Select> the system allows filters based on the prime-index, secondary indexes and any extra selection items. In continuous use the system remembers the last index search used – this option allows you to always default to a set search item.

Note: these items only affect the items displayed in the list when selected within Bill of Materials; they do not affect the items you can filter on (i.e. the header selection inputs). These are the prime and secondary indexes of the databases concerned.
