Increased Job Code Format Size

New in Release 6.2 is an increase in the maximum allowable format size for the Job Code from ten to sixteen characters.

The increased length allows all the standard formatting options. To update the job code format select Installation from the main menu, lock out the system, and then select Code Formats

Note

Split Code formatting keeps its maximum size of the main ‘contract’ code at nine characters.

Data item sizes for the Job Code field will likely need to be increased if increase the format over ten characters. The job code data item can be held in the Sales/Purchase Transaction files, the Job and Job Transaction file, the Sales Order and Purchase Order detail file.
