Record Batch Transactions on Stock Transaction File

When generating stock movements for batch/serial tracked items the stock transaction file is updated with one record for the total movement and individual transactions for each batch/serial are written to the batch transaction file.

This new feature allows the system to write individual transactions to the stock transaction file for each batch / serial in addition to or instead of the batch transaction file.

System Profiles

A new option has been added to the Batch Tracking System Profiles to allow the recording of batch transactions on the stock transaction file.

Log Batch/Serial Movements to Stock Transactions File – set to write an individual stock transaction per batch/serial movement rather than summary for the stock record. Please note that job costing and invoicer do not support this feature and so this should not be enabled if using these applications.

If logging to the stock transaction file then you need to record the batch code itself on this database.Create a new BATCH-CODE data item (X32) on the stock transaction file and reference within the Stock Database Profiles on the ‘Retail / Other Trans’ parameter screen.
