Datafile Software Log File Should XML start to be widely used, then it may be helpful to maintain a log of the XML files both received and sent, in case it is necessary to query the receipt or transmission of a file. Since filenames themselves are unlikely to give much clue to the contents of a file, it could be helpful to maintain a separate log with an entry for each file received and sent, the sender and receiver names and codes, and the dates and times processed. Although we have added hooks within the XML system to allow such a log file to be maintained by the XML system, we have not yet programmed such a facility. Please ask your Datafile reseller if such a facility should become desirable to you. |
