Document Processing - Omit Cost Warnings

Order entry procedures allow the system to compare the cost price against the sales price and warn when the cost price exceeds the sale price, once enabled the price comparison is also performed during document production. Where the cost price check is set to be mandatory but to allow password override this means that the override has to be applied in both order entry and later during document processing. This new feature allows the order documents to be configured to omit the cost price check.

Installation

This new feature is enabled within the document parameters, to update Premier and Diamond users should select Installation from the main menu followed by Application Manager and Document Design Manager,Professional users select Installation followed by Document Design Manager. Select the Sales Order Processing application and document type before entering the document number for the required document. Once the document mask is displayed select the Parameters option at the top of the screen before selecting the ACTION button to move to screen 12 – Optional Features before clicking NEXT to move to screen 12a.

Omit Warning if Selling Price Less Than Cost Price – if set then the system will suppress warnings where the cost price is greater than the selling price.

Notes

Cost Price checks are enabled within the Optional Features parameter screens within the Application User Facilities for Sales Order Processing.
