Database Items For Supplied Templates

As part of the XML module we distribute XML templates and example ProFiler routines for the BASDA standards. Since the XML templates relate XML files to Datafile databases, we have based these templates on the standard databases distributed with Datafile demonstration data.

We have chosen the Premier FCS company as the starting point, whose databases include the data items required for foreign currency. Example base files are distributed in the XMLPROF folder. You must check for those data items in your own company databases that are held in different data items to those of the base files we have distributed, and adjust the XML templates accordingly. Note that you need look only for data item numbers in the XML template (in the form Dnnn), as the data item names given in the template do not have to correspond to the names given in your own databases.

We note in an appendix a number of additional data items that we use in the example templates distributed with the XML modules. In general we have used data item numbers at the top end of the database definition (data items 160 and downwards) in the expectation that you are less likely to have already assigned these data items.
