This option allows you to use the quantity entered within the form definition as a guide but not as the default quantity to be used, instead you manually enter the quantity to be used.
Instead of one column ‘Quantity’ which defaults to the
pre-set form quantity and is used, subject to amendment by the operator, as the
order quantity there are two columns – ‘Order Quantity’ and ‘Guide
Quantity’. The ‘Guide Quantity’ is the
quantity pre-set on the form, the ‘Order Quantity’ is the quantity to be used
when the form creates the order details – press <Enter> against an entry
to set the quantity to be used.
Installation
The option to use the ‘Guide Quantity’ is enabled within the SOP and POP Application User Facilities. The second of four Optional Features parameter screens within the Advanced Input Facilities, includes a parameter for whether quick forms are in use. When confirmed a pop-up allows additional configuration parameters – the guide quantity parameter is available here.
Guide quantity in quick-form order entry - Set to offer the pre-set form quantity as a guide requiring the operator to enter the quantity to be ordered.
