This new feature allows for the definition of selection criteria against the order header file which the order must match before an amendment can be made. If the criteria are not met then only operators with a sufficient authority level or the password can amend an order.
New order entry is unchanged but when selecting the Update,
Delete, Details or Status options the system will compare the selected order
against the pre-set criteria and will only allow amendments if the criteria are
met or if the operator is of sufficient authority. If the operator is prevented from amending an
order then, optionally, a password input may be prompted to allow the user to
proceed.
If prompted for the password the operator can either key the
password, or <ESC> to abandon. They can only proceed to amend the order if they successfully enter the
password.

A new parameter will be available within the Advanced Input Facilities / Optional Features for SOP and POP.Screen 3 contains the additional parameter.
Allow Changes to Order Based on Sel-Crit – set to enter the selection criteria which must be met if an order can be updated. When set the standard Datafile selection criteria screen is displayed enabling you to enter the required criteria.
After setting the criteria a second parameter screen is displayed allowing you to optionally set the password and the authority level.
Authority level to bypass sel-criteria – set the authority level from 0-9, where 0 is the highest and 9 is the lowest, which will enable the operator to ignore the set selection criteria and proceed to amend the order. If the authority level is left blank no operator can amend the order without entry of any set password.
Password to bypass sel-criteria – optionally set the password to bypass the selection criteria. If set then if order does not match the pre-set selection criteria, and the user has a lower authority level than above, the operator will be prompted to enter this password. If left blank then no password will be prompted and the system will reject amendments to the order (subject to the authority level check).
