Release 6.1 introduced links within screen/spooled reports allowing you to review a report and then access the Ledger Enquiry based on links against the account / stock / order reference etc. ‘Easy Mode’ Financial Summaries supported this feature where reports run including the account code.
New in Release 6.2 are options for full-mode financial
summaries to include a hyperlink when send the report to screen (not the
Disk Spooler). Hyperlinks are available
against L-List, S-Selective and R-Range lines and, when selected, an
intermediate pick list will list the nominal accounts processed on that line
and then allow zoom from here to the Ledger Enquiry.
The
‘hyperlink’ displays as a ‘>>’ icon on the report and selecting this
option lists the accounts used against that line entry. <Enter> against an entry on this list
takes you to the ledger enquiry for the highlighted nominal account. <Esc> from the list takes you back to
the report.
Installation
Financial Summary Design
This option is only applicable for ‘full-mode’ financial summaries set-up using the ‘new’ designer. To enable the hyperlink option you need to update the financial summary layout. Within the Nominal Ledger select the option Financial Summaries and press the <F7-Option> key on the list to update the layouts. Select the definition to update, confirm the layout title and the summary design will be displayed.
When the layout is displayed select the Parameters
option from the main toolbar and move to the second screen of parameters.
Runtime Zoom (>>) in Col – set the column number on the report where the hyperlink icon is to be displayed
Display Items – the intermediate list shows the account code and name automatically, select up to five additional items to be displayed.
