The Save Aged Analysis option, whether used on its own or via the Credit Control Manager available on Diamond and Premier, requires an exclusive lock on the sales accounts file to update the aged analysis values. At times this lock cannot be obtained because operators are sitting within an application on a menu or in a report and not actively using an account record.
This release allows, in these circumstances, the system to place a W-Wait lock on the Sales Accounts file and update the save aged analysis. If other users, whilst this process is active, try to access a specific account (i.e. to update the account or post an invoice) they will receive a ‘Waiting for XXX-SLA.DFD’ message before being allowed to continue once the saved aged analysis recalculation is complete.
