I – Index Tidy

When using databases the system keeps a note of the location of each record in the file by the prime and secondary indices. When adding records to a file the system keeps a note of the indices of the new records in a temporary area of the database. At some point these indices are ‘tidied’ into the permanent index blocks – usually on exit or entry into the database when a single user is accessing the file. This option allows you to perform an index tidy on the database at your own discretion.

Other than selecting the ‘option type’ and the database to process no further settings are required.
