This option allows several routines to process, tidy and update several records within a database at once.
For parameter 1 you select the (primary) database to be processed, parameter 2 is the definition filename for the update.
As with the Data Interchange utility several different options are available for a global update definition and these are listed for you when you first create a new definition.
As also with Data Interchange definitions, once you have selected an update type then that type is fixed for the definition. If you make a mistake in selecting the definition type then you need to delete the definition file and allow the system to recreate it, or you amend the parameter 2 pathname so that a new definition is created.
