This new feature allows for the inclusion of images
within a user-defined report layout.
When a text data item is added to a user-defined report layout a series of additional prompts are displayed allowing, if the data item contains an image file name, the option to print the image file rather than the text content of the data item.
Image File – enter Y if data item contain image path and filenames and you wish to print the image.
Width in Columns – specify the number of columns across on the report layout the image is to print across. The system will validate the number that can be entered based on the starting column position of the data item being added and the number of columns remaining subject to maximum columns set in page set-up.
Height in Rows – specify the number of rows down the report layout the image is to print across. The system will validate the number that can be entered based on the starting row of the data item being added and the number of rows remaining before the start of the next control block.
Keep in
Proportion– when increasing/decreasing the image file to print in the defined area set
whether to keep the original files height/width ratio.
The report mask will display the image as a ‘box’ data
item sized as per the length / width you have specified. The image itself will start printing at the
top left-hand of the box at run-time.
Notes
If you wish to include items such as company logos then your ProFiler application should have a constant database with a text data item containing the logo path/filename. When this text item is printed within the UDR then the options to print the image will be available.
Image print parameters are available for any text item sized 12 characters in length or greater.
