You can define up to twenty transaction templates for both receipt transactions and for payment transactions using these options. Taking either of these options opens up the definition screen below.
If the definition file is not found you are warned and asked to create a new definition – ‘No’ returns you to the menu, ‘Yes’ creates a definition file.
Key in the number of one of the template entries you wish to amend or create and press <Enter>.
You now are asked to complete the outline details for this template. These are:
Title — as is to appear in the definition menu above
Default cash account for the transaction
Default description for the transaction
Up to twenty sets of column numbers and default account codes to use within the transaction. For example, you could enter the twenty most common account codes used for (say) the weekly petty cash analysis here. A cash book System Profiles option allows the system to ignore zero value lines, so that only the expenses which occurred during the week would create transactions in the file
You can use the <F4–Select> key to view the columns and the account codes whilst you are completing this aspect of the transaction
You can press the <End> key during entry and update the transaction as it now is. Only non-zero column and account combinations are offered when this template is used.
