FACTOR – Factor Period Budgets - Nominal

This option is similar to the previous option except that it allows you the option to specify a budget factor table number (1 to 5) to use to create the period budgets for any account.

After you have selected an account and entered the annual budget figure, you are asked:

Set Period Values by Factor Table

Reply ‘N’ to enter the period totals yourself — any existing values are displayed for you to modify.

If you reply ‘Y’ you are now asked to choose the budget factor table to use. If a factor is already set for the account, that number is prompted, but you can decide to use a different table number. A new set of period budgets is then calculated and displayed on the screen for you to accept or change.

In all other respects this option works as per the previous option.

Note

If you choose a different table number to that which is given in the account record, the budget factor number in the account record is not changed to reflect the table number chosen. You must change this separately, if you want to do so, by using the Maintain Accounts in Full option.
