Datafile Software XML User Instructions The basic XML module definition and run-time facilities are very similar to those of the current Datafile Report Generator. Up to 99 XML transactions can be created and used, including the transaction extensions. How to use a basic XML run-time transaction is described in the Run XML Process section below. How to define an XML process is described in the chapter XML Transaction Definition below. In practice, individual XML processes are best built into separate menu structures, maybe incorporating some ProFiler routines too, to give a complete set of XML actions and supporting options for the user. In addition, XML processes are often added as menu options at the points where users would expect to find them. For example, the option to import XML sales orders might well be added to the SOP menu; the option to create an XML invoice file added to the sales ledger menu. |
