Run Period End Reports Automatically

As part of the Period End procedures the option is available for Automatic Period End Reports. This option, when selected, prompts for the printer and then prints the set list of application reports.

Some users on larger systems like to configure a ‘start and forget’ period end process running their own designed reports, the application reports and the nominal update automatically at the selection of single option rather than processing each option in turn. This type of process also assists where processing period ends during the day and, perhaps, getting distracted and running options twice / skipping a report.

Selected options within the system allow you to configure a menu call with a ‘A’ suffix to run automatically. This feature has now been applied to the automatic period end reports option so that it allows you to include in your automatic menu process a call to the Sales/Purchase Period End reports and to run fully automatically.
