Datafile Software Create from Sales Orders - Allow Alternate Item for Assembly Build Qty When creating works orders from sales order details the system takes the sales order quantity as the required build quantity for the works order assembly. Where assembly items are also held in stock as well as built on demand there can be a requirement to build a lesser or greater amount to the order quantity. This new feature allows an alternate quantity item to be nominated on the sales order detail file as the basis for works order generation. With the introduction of an alternate build quantity item then in the same way that a sales order line for an assembly item may be both issued from stock and built there can be the requirement to both build a portion of the order quantity in-house and to create a purchase order for the balance. Sales Order Processing doesn’t allow an item to be set for both works order and purchase order generation but a new option in Sales Order Processing has been added to allow this. Installation Application User Facilities – Bill of Materials To reference an alternate item on the sales order
detail to use as the assembly build quantity an additional item has been added
to the BOM Application User Facilities.To set the alternate data item select Installation from the main menu followed by Application Manager and then Application
User Facilities. Select the Bill of Materials application followed
by Enter/Amend Orders and then Generate from Sales Orders. When creating WOH take quan from other SOD Item – select the data item from the Sales Order Detail file to be used as the assembly build quantity.If left blank the system uses the sales order quantity itself. Application User Facilities – Sales Order Processing To allow a sales order detail to be flagged for both
purchase order and works order generation an additional prompt has been added
to the SOP Application User Facilities.To set select Installation from
the main menu followed by Application
Manager and then Application User
Facilities. Select the Sales Order Processing application
followed by Enter/Amend Orders, Advanced Input Facilities and then Optional Features. The new parameter has been added to fourth
screen of optional features. Flag detail for works AND purchase order – set to allow an individual sales order detail to be set for both works order and purchase order generation. |
