Clear Old Rates

As noted above, a daily spot rate history record can be created for each currency for each month of each year as time progresses.However, the rate used is itself written into the transaction records, so these history records have no further purpose once all transactions for the dates concerned have been entered.

In time the currency rate file may fill up, and must either be enlarged or old history records deleted. The purpose of this option is to delete old history records to conserve space. In practice the history records of (say) twelve months and more ago need not be kept on file and so may be deleted without affecting the system.

YEAR-NO
MONTH-NO

Supply the year and month required, and the process is automatic.
