Allow Restriction of Payment Types

This new feature allows you to restrict selected payment types to ‘account’ sales only. For example, you may have payment types for cash, cheque, credit card, cash-on-delivery and/or on account but not want to offer the cash-on-delivery or on-account payment methods for cash sales transactions. This new feature allows you to restrict the availability of these payment types to non-cash sale accounts.

Installation

The new parameter options are available within the Point-of-Sale parameter screen in the SOP Application User Facilities.

Parameter Screen 2 asks you to apply strict pay-type rules for account / cash.

Apply Strict Pay-Types for Account / Cash – set to omit flagged payment types for point-of-sale orders placed against the cash sales account (set on screen 1).

Parameter Screen 3 allows you to set the payment types which are omitted for cash sale transactions.

Against each payment type the ‘A/C’ flag if set indicates this payment type is restricted to non-cash sale accounts only.
