Account Enquiry - Cashbook

This provides an easy way to view an account and its transactions. You are first asked for the account code. You can use the <F4–Select> facility to search for an account here in the usual way. Once a valid account code has been entered, then account details as shown below are displayed.

You scroll up/down the list using the mouse or the arrow and page-up/down keys. Pressing <F6> or the journal button against a transaction shows the full journal of which that entry is a part.

Before inputting the account code the <F7-Options> key can be used to configure details of the transaction display.

Transaction Date Range: From

Transaction Date Range: To

You can specify here a date range between which transactions are to be displayed. If you leave either date blank it is assumed that you want to display from the start and/or end of the file respectively.

Enquire Period Number (Curr Year)

This defaults to the current period. If the account display items include the budget or movement for period 1 then this setting changes the values displayed to reflect the period. For example, if in period 7 it will display the movement values for period 1. If not displaying ‘period 1’ values in the enquiry header then this setting has no effect.
