Update Batch Cost on Receipt of Additional Items

When receiving goods and a new batch record is created the system updates the cost price based on the price of the receipt but any further deliveries of goods into the same batch doesn’t update the batch cost. New in Release 6.4 a Batch Tracking System Profile parameter has been added so that batch costs can be updated.

Installation

System Profiles

To update batch costs you need to enable the new option in the Batch Tracking System Profiles. Select Installation from the main menu followed by Application Manager and then System Profiles before selecting the Batch Tracking application.

Update Batch Cost on receipt of extra goods into Batch – set to update batch cost, on an average basis, when additional goods are received into stock. Note that costs are only updated on receipt into stock and not return to stock (i.e. negative sales issues do not update cost)
