User Help Notes

On the Help pull-down menu off the main Datafile toolbar the system allows the facility for Help Manuals and User Help Manuals. The Help Manuals option lists any PDF files, including the Datafile supplied manuals together with any of your own PDF files, within the HELP folder for the system. The User Help Manuals option, introduced in Release 6.4, allows the system to be configured to allow access to a defined list of help files created by/on behalf of the user (either documents or PDF files - see 6.4 Supplement for more details).

Release 6.5 adds a new option to the Help pull-down for ‘User Help Notes’. This option opens an explorer window of the HELP folder for the system and lists any word documents (MSWord or OpenOffice) documents within this folder allowing the operator to select the file to open.Users can also enter a new filename at the prompt within the explorer window to create a new document.

Installation

This feature is available immediately on program update; no additional configuration options are required.
