repeat

repeat="x" — where x can be an integer from 1 upwards. This attribute is used where there could be many consecutive repeats of the same element with no distinguishing differences, as for example with lines of narrative. In the first place, any repeats above the value of x are ignored by the XML processor. In the second, a set of x consecutive data items must be made available in the database to hold the values of these elements. The data item name given in the Datafile template must be the first of these items. The repeat applies to the value of this and any child elements, which must also have a set of consecutive values in the database. A "repeat” attribute cannot be applied to an element that is itself a child element of a "repeat” element.
