G9 – Sort A Database

This option allows you to sort the records within a database into a pre-defined order. You wouldn’t use this option against an application database such as the sales transaction file, or indeed any database where record numbers are important – say where using the slot numbers in a ProFiler application.

You can specify up to four items on which the database is to be sorted, setting individually whether each item is to be processed in ascending or descending order.
