Datafile Software PERIODS – Comparative Input for Periods - Nominal This option lets you change both the comparative year total and the period values for individual accounts.Period totals must add up to the full year total before the account is updated. If the nominal ledger is still open for the previous year then you are warned.Reply No - If the previous year is still open for postings then you should not even consider changing the comparative figures, which are the actual values for last year. Only if you are supremely sure that it is safe to do so should you pass this step. Normally, if the previous year is still open for postings then there should be no reason to change comparatives for the previous year other than by normal journals. This option works in just the same way as the Budget Input for Periods option described above, except that last year’s actuals are given to you to amend, and there are no comparatives shown for the year before. |
